Since 2017, Flux Learning has recorded and edited hundreds of hours of narration, voice over and podcast interviews.
We have produced several podcasts. We've developed a podcast of our own called Cork Creative. We have a long-standing relationship with Sacred Heart Secondary school and helped them with the set up and management of their SHSS Podcast. We provided the equipment, training and technical support to St. Mary's Central School for their recent podcast .
We have tested and trusted processes for making sure that our clients and their subject matter experts sound the best on each and every recording.
Voice narration can be used to add additional context to existing materials, such as slides, data visualisations, procedural videos or other digital assets. They can be used to provide feedback for learners and they are key to maintaining course accessibility. We can support the recording from script using a teleprompter or for something more off the cuff , we use Descript to generate transcripts to edit and amend thereafter. We are confident that we have a workflow to meet you and your learners' needs. We can of course develop something for your specific requirements if needed.
So what equipment do we use for recording podcasts and voice over? We use industry standard equipment. We have a range of microphones so have options to suit every type of voice and recording environment: we use the Shure SM7B, Austrian Audio OC818, Rode PodMic, Lewitt 440 Pure and the Rode NTG3 microphones. For podcasts we use the Rodecaster Pro 1 and the Rodecaste Pro 2. For voice over narration we use the Sound Devices MixPre 6 as we use 32bit float recording for a wide dynamic range recording with greater scope for post processing. For lavalier microphones for video recording we use the Tentacle Sync Track Es as these also provide 32bit float recording.
